PVD・DLC Coating
Starting with applications in cutting tools, it has been widely expanded to molds, automotive components, food, medical devices, and more.
This is an introduction to the PVD and DLC coating conducted by our company. PVD treatment can be broadly classified into vacuum deposition, sputtering, and ion plating. Among these, ion plating, proposed in 1964 as a method for generating ceramic thin films, has undergone many improvements by numerous researchers and has been put into practical use. Ceramic thin films possess wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance that are not found in metal materials, making it easier to obtain new functions by coating them onto metal materials.
